The spookiest time of year is right around the corner and it’s time to summon the spirit of Halloween! Although I’ve decorated for Fall, I’ve never decorated for Halloween. Shocking, right? During my journey to building a stock of Fall décor, Halloween got lost on my décor “to-do” list. This mama is on a mission to make that change.
Halloween is such a fun holiday. I never gave it much thought in the past, but as a new mom, I want my son to enjoy in the delights of spooky decorations. I remember being a child and always wanting to trick-or-treat at the house with the best Halloween decorations. It was so exciting to watch the moving décor, surprise flashes from strobe lights, and feel the chill down my spine as I listened to the spooky music blasting from homes on Halloween as we made our way to as many doors possible.
So here I am, on the search for inspiration because its time for spiderwebs, jack-o-lanterns, and skeletons to take center stage. I’ve looked at EVERYTHING from dozens of spooky mantles, porches, dining room displays – you name it. After all of this researching, I’ve put together a list of the most inspirational Halloween displays I’ve come across so far from the most talented designers. Let’s explore some creative and unique Halloween décor ideas that will help you elevate your spooky decorations to another dimension – in a fashionable sense!

This white pumpkin arch is absolutely tantalizing – and I can’t wait to recreate it with my own touches. I tend to shy away from décor with too much vibrant color so this is perfect for someone like me. It’s got the clean, crisp, sparkly white that I love – with a pop of color from the mums.

Who would’ve thought that the end area of a countertop could be such a great opportunity to decorate? I love the way she designed this by keeping the “boo” ghost theme while sticking to a white and natural color scheme.

This décor is for my glam girls. Everything about the design incorporates glamor and all things pretty which is so unique for a Halloween style.

I’ve never been inspired when it comes to a table runner. Who would’ve thought that a tablet runner could turn into a spider web? Honestly – genius. And can we talk about that decorative table because I am impressed. The different levels of heights really brings the décor together so well which shocks me. Normally, this much décor can make an area look cluttered. I don’t know how they did it!

Part II of the photo above.. this is the dining setting. The use of what appears to be soft, pink roses really caught me off guard. When I think of Halloween florals, I think of sunflowers and mums but these roses go eerily well! They add a delicate touch to soften the harshness skull décor can emit.

Cheers to the bats and skeleton making a call on a.. what is that .. a landline? So ancient. I love it. I’ve been seeing a lot of bat and crow displays lately and that is definitely something I’ll be copying.

This is probably my favorite Halloween display due to all of the subtle spooky touches. At first glance, it doesn’t seem like much, but when you start looking at all the little details it really ties everything together. I love they way they used netting/cobwebs on the plants and mantle.

Well this is an area I wouldn’t have thought to decorate! I like this because it isn’t “too much” for a small area and captures the feeling of being witchy.

I wanted to include this for everyone out there who has a cozy cottage with cabinet room to decorate. My cabinets go to the ceiling so I can’t do this, but it’s a great way to decorate other areas such as the tops of hutches, armoires, etc.

What makes this mantle so unique is the gold tone. Somehow, they’ve found a way to match every gold object to be the same shade which makes me think there was some DIY painting here. Regardless, the black, the white, and the eye catching metallic gold pull this mantle together so well.

This photo from Grandin Road is really inspiring when it comes to the way they added the witch boots. I never would have thought of filling witch boots with fall greenery. Also, the little spider dangling from the broom is absolutely adorable!

So this image is from Pottery Barn so you know its going to be next level. They’ve somehow captured feelings of spooky, cute, and elegant all in one. Very hard to do – but that’s the goal!

This one get the award for most artistic. The poem on the wall mentions a moon and then they added a moon right next to it – creative! I also like the book pages in the mantle because it reminds me of a witches spell book. Add the pop of gold tones from the garland and you’ve got a spooky, poetic mantle.

Simple but spooky. This looks so effortless but fully captures the essence of Halloween which is perfect for decorating on a budget.

What really caught my eye about this one is the product placement. The different height levels make this so visually appealing. I also love the sign above the door!
